Vita Cow delivers essential contribution when controlling or stabalizing production costs. This way the amount of milk out of roughage will be significantly higher, while the milk production stays on point! On top of that the chance of the arise of certain diseases seems to decrease strongly. The many users all over the world today are the proof of the cost reducing and return increasing success of Vita Cow.

The organic acids (such as lactic acid, propionic acid and formic acid) contribute to the improvement of palatability of the roughage and have a stimulating effect on the digestive system in the oral cavity and for the cow's stomachs. The cow will take in the roughage easier and more efficiently. This can then even be more efficiently broken down in the rumen (by the bacteria present). Also the production of saliva is stimulated, which through the cud, will be equipped with rumen bacteria that contain extra nutrients and energy.

The fruit (e.g. Apple, beet and elderberries) and herbal extracts support the condition of the digestive organs like the liver and kidneys. Organs that provide the food and fuel supply of the cow and the waste processing and excretion. If these are not functioning optimally, it will have direct consequences for milk production, fertility, resistance and health of the cow.

History

Since the middle of the last century, the dairy production has been accelerated in many ways. In the 50’s the average cow produced ca. 4000 litres milk a year, nowadays it’s already ca. 7800 litres! This is obtained by selective breed and concentrate.

Unfortunately there’s another side of the accelerated production too. Highly productive dairy cows have become more vulnerable for certain illnesses. The relatively high share concentrate in the ration will cause the critical and difficult to control digestion of the cow. When the feed intake and utilization is being interrupted, this will have immediate consequences for the milk production and condition of the cow. In practice, a large amount of money will be lost.

The ration is most of the time limited in diversity and only contains grass and corn and potentially some by-products. And of course a large share of (without structure) concentrate. A cow is naturally a grazer that eats fresh crops and herbs. A varies ration full of structure. And with a broad range of minerals, vitamins, trace elements and specific stimulating and protective substances out of different herbs.

With (often synthetic) mineral mixtures the shortages are balances out again. And with frequent roughage research, ration calculations and  concentrate changes, the condition ang digestion needs to stay in ‘the green zone’. Which is often not the case.

When working with Vita Cow, the cow will become closer to nature again. The ration is being supplemented with specific substances out of fruits and herbs. The roughage intake and utilization is being stimulated. Whereby most of the time a decreased amount roughage is needed, without lowering the milk production. In practice one will learn that ‘more milk is generated out of roughage’. The effort of using Vita Cow is nonetheless and minimal cost neutral. The advantages in the area of natural condition and health are an (financial) addition.

The cow is able to achieve a higher productive age and thus deliver a higher return. Very suitable for sustainable and modern businesses in agriculture.

Sustainable

Vita Cow can provide a contribution to the achievement of a higher life-production of the cows. Which means that below-the-line a clearly better efficiency will be realised. Perfectly matching the modern striving for a more sustainable agriculture.

  • Improvement roughage- intake and -utilization
  • Support condition and resistance
  • More milk from roughage
  • High life-production
  • Contributes in striving for a high productive age

Application

Vita Cow is divided daily with a watering can on the roughage, possibly pre-diluted 1:1 with water.

The application amount with cows is adjusted to the milk production. Indeed; the higher the milk production, the higher the burden on the condition and health of the cow. Some extra Vita Cow will then makes the difference.

Standard advice for each (lactating) cow per day: 10 ml for each 1000 kg milk production (on an annual basis). Vita Cow is also given to dry cows and calves. Standard advice for each animal per day:

  • Dry cow 50 ml.
  • Calve 30 ml.

In order to determine which advantages working with Vita Cow have for your company we advise a minimum trial period of 3 months. For a company with 100 milk cows and an average production level of 8000 litres for each cow per year, 720 litres Vita Cow would be necessary.

Standard (plastic) pack sizes:

  • 30 litres
  • 60 litres
  • 200 litres
  • 600 litres
  • 1000 litres

Efficiency

Vita Cow is a mixture based on organic acids, fruit and herbal extracts. It is used to improve the palatability of forage and to stimulate the functioning of the digestive organs. In addition, it supports the condition of the cow's liver and kidneys, causing the improvement of blood purification and waste shedding is being optimised and thereby the overall condition and resistance.

Efficiency

Ever more stringent laws mean that the health, well-being and efficient feeding of diary cattle are increasingly important. Profitability is squeezed, too, when diary cattle are unhealthy. Production falls and cattle care costs rise.

Seventy per cent of health complaints are due to imbalances in feed, digestion and feed utilisation. So proper support for digestion, feed utilisation and resistance are very important for your diary cattle and your profitability.

So the udder health, fertility, condition of the claws and joints and the respiratory system have significant influence on the production. The feed intake of a dairy cow, the overall resistance and condition, the climate of the stable will also have their role in the total.

Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR) IBR is also called 'cow disease' and is the abbreviation of: Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis. This disease, where there’s an inflammation of the front airways, is very common amongst dairy cow. An estimation shows us that 24% of dairy farms struggle with IBR.
